Traditional Parks

While visiting Manhattan's Union Square Park I talked to a youth who told me, “there's benches for seniors  and a playground for the little kids but nothing for us.”  Actually just offering a place to sit shortchanges seniors too. A senior who uses a wheelchair, asked me if I could let her know if there were any inclusive playgrounds  in NYC. I asked her to define inclusive playground. She said a park that would have activities for her to participate in. I could not think of many parks in NYC  that are inclusive for her as person with a disability...or for that matter either of us as seniors. Due to a lack of relevant activities in many nearby parks the majority of neighborhood residents rarely if ever use their neighborhood parks...

Virtual Parkhouse is a solution to this problem. By creating a discovery mechanism for Todays smartphone allow ready access to thousands of recreation activities that can be enjoyed in your park. The problem is theer is no adequate discovery mechanism to find the apps that suit your personal recreation needs. Virtual Parkhouse is meant to solve this problem.
